Kobo continues to add to the economic development of the continent with more than 4200 direct and indirect jobs created within its one year of existence. It also helps in public sector where it has built Call-up Logic for the Nigeria Port Authority, and this has helped save the bureau more than $1.6 billion monthly. Ifunanya 'Funa' Maduka, a filmmaker, is a former director of international original films at Netflix. She was on the front line of Netflix’s international expansion, launching and expanding the international film offering across more than 100 territories. Her acquisitions brought Netflix its first feature film nominations at both the Golden Globes (Houda Benyamina’s Divines) and the Academy Awards (Ildiko Enyedi’s On Body And Soul). Dr. Wendy A. Okolo is an aerospace engineering researcher in the Intelligent Systems Division at NASA Ames Research Center. Her focus is in the area of systems health monitoring and control systems design with applications to air and space components, vehicles, and systems. To that effect she is a Sub-Project Manager for the System Wide Safety Project, leading a team to develop the technologies that will enable the safe and seamless integration of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) into the U.S. national airspace. She also leads a controls team on a Space Technology project, Pterodactyl, to advance the guidance, navigation, and control capabilities that will make precision landing for deployable entry vehicles a reality for planetary exploration.
