Chinasa Ogbuagu

Chinasa is an actress who plays the role - Lloyd in the new sci-fi FOX drama, Fringe. Fringe explores mysteries of the paranormal as well as the relationships between the characters, and is steeped in mythology. She has also starred in the hard-hitting and emotional series from NBC’s Law & Order brand chronicles the life and crimes of the Special Victims Unit of the New York Police Department, the elite squad of detectives who investigate sexually based crimes. Created by Emmy Award-winning producer Dick Wolf, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit is the second longest-running drama series in the history of television. Chinasa also plays a role with Allison Schubert and Indika Senanayake in “A Family of Perhaps Three,” by Gertrude Stein.

Ndubuisi Ekekwe

Ndubuisi Ekekwe was born in Ovim, Abia state. Kimberly Anyadike

15 year-old Kimberly Anyadike is the youngest African-American female to fly solo across the country. Anyadike made history by flying across country – logging 7,000 miles – from Compton to Newport News, Va., in 13 days. Kimberly, who started flying at the age of twelve years old, was accompanied by legendary Tuskegee Airman, Levi Thornhill. Kimberly, who lives in Inglewood, was praised for her courage at flying a single-engine Cessna aircraft across America unsupervised, from Compton Woodley Airport to Newport News, Virginia, which are opposite parts of the country. And she has been honoured for the feat. Zeal Onyia

Zeal Onyia was one of the architects of professional popular musicianship and bringing popular musicians into unionism in Nigeria. A consummate musician with a wide taste for a variety of musical idioms. In one of his unique compositions of 1958, titled: "Egwu Jazz bu Egwu Igbo" (Prim-pri-ya-prim-pri-ya) he traced the history of Jazz to Igbo Land. Among his other top hits are Vicky yem Afum'u'o, Dibia A'buro Chukwu, and Odiasi (all on Decca West Africa Records). Zeal Onyia was without doubt an accomplished musician and trumpeter. When Louis Armstrong on his visit to Nigeria in 1961 heard Zeal at the National Stadium Suru Lere playing a welcome tune for him, Louis lost no time in recognizing a protégée. "Who is that hip cat?" he enquired. That acquaintance translated into instant respect and a life long friendship between the two until the great Satchmo passed on in July, 1974. Zeal Onyia passed away in 2000.
