One to Watch Dedicated to the cultural preservation of the African aesthetic, Yagazie Emezi began her website yagazieemezi.com - as a project to locate young and upcoming photographers with the intent of providing a platform that showcases their work and points of view of Africa. This is part of a concerted effort to encourage the creative arts movement within Africa and the Diaspora, to provide us with spaces to tell our own stories, support our creative entrepreneurs, and view ourselves through our own lenses. With a dual degree in Cultural Anthropology & Africana Studies, Yagazie embarked on this journey to not only curate our existing culture and the talent of our youth, but to also emphasize the necessity of a habit of cultural preservation among us that goes beyond documenting only past and traditional practices. Ifeyinwa Okafor

Ifeyinwa Maureen Okafor is a first class graduate of law from the University of Bradford, UK with an MBA from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. An alumnus of Johnson Institute for Responsible Leadership, University of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, USA, she currently works as a Lagos based industrialist and is married with three children. Her background experience spans several sectors including Aviation,Banking and Manufacturing. She is also a fellow of ICAN, ICSAN; a member of IoD and CIBN. She has won several local and international awards including the prestigious 2014 Woman Achiever Award of The International Federation of Women Lawyers Born on the 31st of December 1969, Ifeyinwa is a native of Ehime- Mbano Local Government Area. She is also an aspirant for Imo State Governor.

Nwando Ajene

Mrs. Nwando Ajene is the Head of Corporate Communications for the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE). Prior to assuming this role, she served as the Business Development Director for EXP, supporting fast moving consumer goods companies to develop strategies for attracting and retaining their customers. Mrs. Ajene also spent over six years in a range of roles for leading global companies including ABN AMBRO, Quaker Oats, and Northern Trust Bank in the United States. Mrs. Ajene is a graduate of the University of Chicago Graham School of General Studies where she obtained a Degree in Integrated Marketing Communication, and DePaul University, where she obtained a Bachelors of Commerce in Marketing Degree.

Chika Nwobi

Chika Nwobi is the Founder and Managing Partner of L5Lab, a Nigeria based business incubator in the mobile Internet space. Before L5Lab, Chika was co-founder and Group CEO of MTech PLC. Chika led MTech to become the leading mobile content company in Africa with operations in Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Ivory Coast serving the likes of MTN, Glo, Zain, Virgin Nigeria, Pepsi, Nigerian Breweries and Nokia. He remains a major shareholder and a member of the board of directors. Prior to MTech, Mr. Nwobi was a consulted for the Ford Foundation, working on a mobile microfinance management systems. He also worked as a consultant for the IFC (World Bank) and Airtuit (USA) where his job involved working with Fortune 500 clients to formulate their wireless strategy to exploit opportunities in M-Commerce. Chinelo Anohu-Amazu

Chinelo is the Acting Director General of the National Pension Commission. A key player in the Pension Reform, Chinelo was part of the team of experts that midwifed the Contributory Pension Scheme in Nigeria. She served in the Fola Adeola Pension Reform Committee set up by former President Olusegun Obasanjo, whose work led to the enactment of the Pension Reform Act 2004, and received a presidential commendation for the quality of work done on the 2004 pension reform. As Acting Director General of the Commission since December, 2012, she continues to promote the development of secure investment vehicles for pension funds.

Lilian Anekwe

Lilian Anekwe is a medical writer and editor of the Best Health website, part of the BMJ Evidence Centre, and as editor writes consumer health news and health information for patients. She joined the BMJ group in 2011 having worked at the medical magazine Pulse for five years as a reporter and clinical news editor, writing news and features on new drugs and treatments for UK GPs. Chijindu Ujah

One to watch Chijindu Ujah is an athlete, specialising as a sprinter. He is the fifth British sprinter to break 10 seconds for the 100 metres, and the youngest to do so, as of June 2014 he is ranked first on the all-time European under-20 list, and third on both the all-time British list and the all-time European under-23 list for the event with a fastest time of 9.96 (with a +1.4 tailwind), achieved at Hengelo, Netherlands on June 8 2014.
