Chief Augustine Ilodibe

Chief Ilodibe was the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Ekene Dili Chukwu Group of Companies that has, well over 300 luxury buses and over 150 articulated vehicles, namely trailers and trucks, in its fleet.

Born on December 18, 1932, in Nnewi Anambra State, his success story began in 1950 after he served as a priest in charge of the then Nnewi Parish, under one Rev. Father Kettle, from Luxemburg, for three years.

The Catholic priest gave him 35 pounds which he used to start a transport business that gave birth to a conglomerate known today as Ekene Dili Chukwu Group of Companies.

Owing to his many contributions to the growth of Nigerian economy, he was awarded the prestigious national honour of Member of the Federal Republic (MFR) in 2002.
